Ted Cruz Perfectly Reacts to being called “Lucifer”

A few days ago, former Republican Speaker of the House John Boehner unloaded on Republican Presidential Candidate Ted Cruz, describing him as, “Lucifer in the flesh”.

And although Boehner maintains he has friends on both sides of the aisle, he stated about Cruz, “I have never worked with a more miserable don of a bitch in my life”.

“I have never worked with a more miserable son of a bitch in my life.”

Yikes. But Cruz didn’t miss a beat. His messaging in response has been perfect.

He first attempts to add to the narrative that Trump has no self control, describing Boehner’s remarks as allowing “…his inner trump to come out.” He then lands a hay-maker by easily connecting Trump to the establishment, stating, “If you’re wondering who has actually stood up to Washington – I think John Boehner has made it crystal clear”. He goes on to claim that Boehner and Trump are golfing buddies, taking a swing at Trump’s anti-establishment claims.

While in a normal election this would be powerful, against Donald Trump, it may have the opposite effect. Seemingly nothing can hurt Trump, and attacks against him only make him stronger. But this effort by Cruz was as good as could have been achieved in responding to Boehner’s remarks.
