New President, New Domain Name

New President, New Domain Name

Welp, the election didn’t go as I predicted. That’s okay. While the next four year may be rough, I believe there is light at the end of the tunnel. And with that light comes a new direction and a new domain name.

That light is 2020. And in 2020, I hope to be able to stand with a strong progressive Democratic Party. The new name, The 2020 Progressive, reflects that hope. It also reflects a clear vision of what I believe the goals of the Progressive Movement should be in the lead up to 2020.

  • Progressives need to take over the Democratic Party.
  • The Democrats need to commit to getting money out of politics.
  • The Party needs to create equal and fair systems and address systemic inequalities whenever and wherever possible.

With that in mind, I very much look forward to examining a Trump Presidency, and urging Progressives to keep their goals in mind. I’m excited to see how Trump fairs, and hesitant to throw too much judgement in his direction at this point. He’s been oddly calm since winning. Either way, scaring anyone, or being afraid isn’t going to help. I say we should be hopeful but very, very, very cautious.

We’ll see how it goes, and I’ll see you in 2020.

P.S. I’ll be updating the site over the next few weeks, so bare with me if it gets shitty. 🙂
