Welcome To THE 2020 PROGRESSIVE – A Progressive Political Blog

Welcome to The 2020 Progressive! This is a progressive political blog looking to the future and to the 2020 Presidential Election. Previously, I wrote at Digipoop about the communications and messaging strategies of the 2016 Presidential Election. I started this blog because 2016 has been an unpredictable mess and everyone has done a bad job.

My experience in politics made the 2016 election cycle particularly frustrating.

Highlights of my political career include producing videos featuring the likes of Elizabeth Warren, Hillary Clinton, Bill Clinton, Bernie Sanders, and numerous local and state candidates. I’ve also produced a slew of attack ads, including this gem against Indiana Governor Mike Pence. Or this beauty using the famous “McConnelling B-roll”.  Top that off with logos, graphics, emails, and advice.

Why The 2020 Progressive?

In 2020, I hope to be able to stand with a strong progressive Democratic Party. The new name, The 2020 Progressive, reflects that hope. It also reflects a clear vision of what I believe the goals of the Progressive Movement should be in the lead up to 2020.

  • Progressives need to take over the Democratic Party.
  • The Democrats need to commit to getting money out of politics.
  • The Party needs to create equal and fair systems and address systemic inequalities whenever and wherever possible.

My Goals

The goal of The 2020 Progressive is to hold both President Trump and the Democratic Party accountable in the run up to the 2020 election. I know it’s early, but work starts now for progressives.

Additionally, I will share content I’ve produced and will explain the steps that went into securing and producing each piece (hopefully without breaking the NDAs).
