Bernie Sanders Dank Memes

Bernie Sanders Dank Memes

The internet is thick with Bernie Sanders supporters posting the dankest memes. Reddit, Facebook, Instagram and Twitter are politically dominated by the Vermont Senator’s Campaign messaging.  What makes his web dominance the most impressive is the amount of volunteer created content that has sprouted up across social media.

They call it the Bernie Sanders Dank Meme Stash, and it’s a real thing.

Some Dank Bernie Memes

So on a random night – tonight – I decided to peruse Instagram hashtags #FeeltheBern and #Bernie to find my favorite memes of the evening. All of these were trending on the same day at the same time.

A beautiful piece done in the Classic Bernie Meme Style. A Crossover Eazy-E reference subtly mixed with the modern #FeeltheBern Emoji flames. The post created excellent engagement and the aesthetic of the text tells me the account is ran by an Instagram pro. Great work.

The #WhichHillary hashtag isn’t going away anytime soon. As a Cubs fan this meme strikes at my soul. As a digital content creator, I applaud the simplistic brilliance. I bet these side-by-side #WhichHillary memes are here to stay. At least until the Convention.

This meme is a winner because it is a sweet stat that is sure to cheer up any Bernie Supporter that may be sweating mainstream pundits. It also feeds the narrative that Bernie supporters have been pushing from the beginning: the establishment does not want Bernie Sanders to win the nomination. There’s blowback too. The more the media show that they are afraid of Bernie, the more seriously real people take his campaign. Certainly, if they’re afraid of him he’s not just blowing hot air, right?

I don’t know if this is true or not, but the attitude is extremely on-brand for the Sanders Campaign.

There’s nothing special about this one other than that I liked it aesthetically. It’s flat comic book look and bold commitment to red reminds me of the famous Obama-con image by Shepard Ferry – more so than the one he actually did for Bernie.
